1.Stand straight with feet together.
2.Measure in bare feet.
3.Begin at the top of the head and pull tape straight down to the floor.
2Bust
1.This is not your bra size.
2.Wear an unpadded bra (your dress will have a built-in bra).
3.Relax arms at sides.
4.Take the tape around your back and bring it across the fullest part of your bust.
3Waist
1.Find the natural waist.
2.Usually about 1 in above belly button.
3.Keep tape slightly loose to allow for breathing room.
4Hips
1.Find the widest part of the hips.
2.Usually about 7 in below natural waist.
3.Tape should brush across both hipbones.
5Hollow to Floor
1.Stand straight with feet together.
2.Measure in bare feet.
3.Begin at the hollow space between the collarbones and pull tape straight down to the floor.
Hollow to floor = Length from Collarbone to the Ground (excluding shoe height)

6Waist to Hem
For dresses with a defined waist, measure from your natural waistline to the desired hemline.
7Shoulder Width
Measure from the outer edge of one shoulder to the outer edge of the other shoulder. Make sure the tape is positioned at the base of your neck.
8Arm Length
Measure from the top of your shoulder down to your wrist. Keep your arm slightly bent while measuring.
9Neck Circumference
Measure around the base of your neck, where your collar would normally sit.
10Sleeve Length
For dresses with sleeves, measure from the shoulder seam down to the desired sleeve length. If measuring on yourself, bend your arm slightly.
11Upper Arm Circumference
Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm.
12Lower Arm Circumference
Measure around the fullest part of your forearm, just below your elbow.
Also, when measuring, try to stand naturally with good posture, as this will give you the most accurate measurements for a well-fitting dress. If you're unsure about any measurements, it's always a good idea to consult us or dressmaker for guidance.
